Stretch and Strengthen Class

This class uses the low-to-the-floor trapeze as an adaptable partner for stretching, strengthening, balance training and alignment awareness and is for anyone who wants to become more flexible and stronger with better balance and ease of movement. We also use big balls and rollers. This is NOT an intimidating class; come in whatever shape you are in. Having fun together, getting fit is the MO. We laugh a lot. We move and rest, and move some more.

This session will focus on developing functional movement…upper & lower body strength aligned with flexibility, core support, balance and alignment awareness with which to move through our days with ease and yes, grace. (Grace is economy of movement & body awareness.) Everyone works at her own level. Exercises can be modified to increase or decrease difficulty…all ages are welcome. Students say they feel relaxed and energized at the end of class. Beautiful music accompanies us always. This class is NOT what you see in performance; the trapezes wear several hats!
